What Are PDO Threads?
PDO Threads (Polydioxanone) are a special type of material used for dissolvable stitches in medical procedures. In cosmetic treatments like thread lifts, PDO threads are used to lift and tighten sagging skin. These threads gradually dissolve in the body over time, providing a non-surgical way to improve the appearance of the skin without leaving any permanent marks.
They are a relatively new option for thread lifting – a procedure which works to physically lift the facial structure and tissues into a higher and more youthful position.
How Does it Work?
As the body starts to break down the PDO thread, it creates collagen, which tightens and improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
You will notice an increase in collagen and elastin in 4 weeks with full effects seen after 3-4 months.
